Presenting…

Call it shameless self-promotion or just plain bragging, but we’d like to take a moment to PRAISE our craftsmen. Not only do we appreciate the excellent work this team of carpenters produces – they are also wonderful people to work with every day.

“No one can whistle a symphony. It takes a whole orchestra to play it.”

– H.E Luccock

Call it shameless self-promotion or just plain bragging, but we’d like to take a moment to PRAISE our craftsmen. Not only do we appreciate the excellent work this team of carpenters produces – they are also wonderful people to work with every day. When a client shares how much they appreciate the skilled, considerate, and resourceful team we are fortunate to have on staff, it’s music to our ears.

Construction as a profession is physically demanding. It is also very creative; requires an understanding of math and measurements, with a solution-based, problem-solving ability rarely found in other professions. Carpenters think in terms of form and function. Ours are skilled artisans who construct, install, and renovate our clients’ homes and businesses.

This crew arrives ready to work, bringing printed renderings to life. Making the old new again, and the new spectacular. Outside of work, they are husbands, dads, and granddads with a long list of interests: hunting, fishing, a car show enthusiast, world travel, and camping to name a few.

Fun facts about some of our carpenters include: An artist whose work was chosen to reside inside Washington D.C.’s famed Cannon Tunnel, a travel superstar, a high school class king, a young newspaper delivery employee (talk about deadlines and commitment), a lustrous long career in office furniture administration, a former Muay Thai kickboxing instructor, and as a teenager, a National Baseball Championship Team member, and so much more.

A study published in the Journal of Vocational Behavior discovered it’s not necessarily fun activities that teach new lessons to employees. Instead, it is an atmosphere of fun that creates a better learning environment. When employees are encouraged to have fun at work, it offers renewed energy, where people want to do their best. This elevates the exchange of ideas, and increases collaborations.

What better way to “get to know” some of our team and introduce some fun than by asking them to share their choice of a superpower. Among them: a time traveler, the ability to absorb others’ skills, and then there is our resident shapeshifter. The others chose not to reveal their top secret, imaginary superpower, maintaining a strict vow of silence on the matter.

When you invite us into your home or business to complete a remodeling project, addition, or renovation, you acquire years of combined construction experience, varied backgrounds, and the commitment necessary to see your project from demo to done, complete with a friendly smile.

See our carpenters’ skills on display this weekend at the Home Studio by Omega booth #1913 at the Grand Rapids Remodeling & New Homes Show Jan. 19, 20, 21 at Devos Place, accessible underground parking entrance from Lyon St. NW.

We look forward to meeting you!
